Rowan Summer Tweed Collection...

It's snowing again...it's supposed to snow for the next 2 days.  Do you have enough projects to keep you going through the snow?! We are featuring different yarns and only some of the available projects that can be made from these yarns.  This week is The Rowan Summer Tweed Collection.  We have some gorgeous pattern books featuring some of  Rowan's very beautiful designs.  Come by and browse through our books and patterns...get inspired to make your next project for spring or summer.  We love it when you come in and browse through our pattern books...take a day when you have some extra time and just set as a goal to come and sit with us and browse for a long while with a cup of tea.  The Rowan books are beautiful in particular with their vibrant colors and romantic style settings.

Valentine Gift Ideas

Here is a free pattern download from Berroco  It's called Hippodrome which is a felted bag that has two folksy intarsia motifs.  A horse and a goose gallop and swoop around this utilitarian satchel which knits up quickly with minimal seaming.  We just received in some new Berroco Peruvia yarn that would knit up beautifully in this.  Of course you can always substitute other yarns for this project.

Last minute Valentine gift ideas.  

This free pattern is available for download on Ravelry. It's called a Valentine Heart Cloth by Tricia Walter.  We have some new cotton yarn in in a variety of colors that would work up nicely for this project.  You could throw in a nice handmade bar of artisan soap and you have a lovely sweetheart gift for anyone you want to show a little love to.

 

Classic Elite has this free pattern for a mug cosy designed by Kristen TenDyke.  Everyone knows someone who drinks tea, coffee or hot chocolate.  Why not dress up a favorite mug for the holiday?

This sweet valentine ring is a quick knit for anyone. This ring designed by Jennifer Tallanpenani for pieknits.  This ring uses the double knitting technique.

Little pouches for gift giving or to put a gift inside!  These drawstring pouches were designed by Carissa Browning.  Free download is available for this sweet pattern.  This could be done up in any color worsted weight yarn.  Of course we have loads of colors and brands of worsted weight yarn so that you can pick out just what you'd like for this project.  It's also a great stash busting project!
