Happy New Year From Yarns With A Twist!

The holidays are over and inventory is completed (well almost completed). As the yarn is counted and sorted, new yarns, and some of your old favorites, have been added to the bins.

Cascade 220 Wool and Superwash have both been restocked with all your favorite colors.

New to Yarns With A Twist is Cascade Sport. This yarn works up to 5.5 to 6 stitches per inch and is available in all those great Cascade colors. The price is right at $3.75 a skein.

Viking of Norway Balder yarn. This is 100% washable bulky weight yarn. Perfect for hats, scarves and mittens. The hat shown in the photo requires only one skein.  The pattern for this hat is available free with purchase of the yarn.

The Mad Trapper Hat Kit from Knit One Crochet Too. The kit includes one ball each of Ty-Dy Wool and Fleece. Pattern includes sizes for Baby, Toddler, Child and 2 adult sizes. The Fleece not only provides the trim for the hat, but also provides a nice warm lining for the ear flap.

This shawl was knitted using Knit One Crochet Too Tartlette yarn and Ribbon Triangle pattern.Tartlette is a cotton/nylon blend that is soft and drapey. It is a good choice for shawls and scarves. The pattern has directions for a scarf and a shawl. The shawl only requires 4 skeins and is an excellent project for the beginning knitter.

New Trendsetter yarns include:  Cha-Cha an interesting wide ribbon fashion yarn perfect for making ruffled projects. When you knit at the boxes on the top of the wide ribbon you create ruffles.

Trendsetter Dune is a beautiful mix of mohair, nylon and acrylic. This heavy worsted weight yarn is perfect for sweaters, jackets, scarves, hats and accessories.

Trendsetter Venus is a blend of multiple yarns linked together. The change is random and the look can be very patchwork. Hanks can very in content and patterning even with dyelots. The scarf in the photo was knitted using two hanks of Venus. The pattern is very simple and available at the store.
