patterns...

Carol Anderson's Cottage Creations patterns are wonderful booklets that have a variety of patterns for knitting.  Some of these include sweaters, hats, afghans, toys, community projects and baby projects.  These books are really fun to read.
A great new afghan book has arrived at the shop.  There are many styles in this creative collection.  I love that it's not your typical afghan pattern book.
Some samples of the afghans in the book.

Milva also crocheted this neck tie out of the same yarn using the FPHDC (1/2post stitch).
Faith K. knit this dramatic Ruana Shawl by Oat Couture.  She used yarn from her stash...any Aran or Worsted yarn would work for this project.  When Faith swept into the store we had to buy this beautiful pattern.  We got the pattern in and it immediately sold out...we are getting more in shortly.

Sam H. knit this great market bag.  It was knit up on Glamor that is on sale right now.
Joanne knit this sweet little drawstring bag out of Berrocco suede yarn.  This would be a great little bag for your iphone, ipod or as a little gift bag for a special gift.

Great American Aran Afghan...

Mugs by Peg! These mugs have been a big hit with our knitters in the shop...come on by and get a beautiful handcrafted mug to sip your tea while you knit....

This Diamonds with Tails Scarf was designed by Ellyn Copper and knit by Linda W. out of Zohars Sock Yarn.  This was a fun pattern to knit and the yarn feels wonderful around your neck.  It takes one skein to do this project.

Wow!  Barbara Williams knit this gorgeous Great American Aran Afghan in a few months.  She generously re-charted some of the blocks so it made it easier to follow.  This is just beautiful!  She used Cascade 220 to complete this wonderful heirloom afghan.  You know some of us are coveting that afghan Barb!

Beauty up close!
This is the same afghan...however, the color is off and the above is more true to form.
