To Market, To Market...A Sampler
Linda W. crocheted these lovely market bags called Provence Summer String Bag. These were made out of Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece. We have the red sample in the shop for you to check out. These bags are really nice in that they are more stable/sturdy than the typical market bag.

Socks & Sweater...
Sam knit her first pair of Queen Kahuna socks. She used Heritage sock yarn for this project. They turned out beautifully!
Sam said she loved how this sock turns out. At first it was a bit difficult to decipher the pattern...but, with a bit of help she has now mastered this great sock! Sam has the extra challenge of figuring out patterns for her left-handedness....she says she's going to re-write the pattern to accomodate this fact.
Linda M. knit her pair of Queen Kahuna socks out of Mountain Colors Crazy Foot. Her cuff was made on the shorter side with ribbing. Queen Kahuna guides you to make any type of sock once you have the pattern mastered. Linda did a beautiful job!
Nancy P. knit this beautiful sweater out of Comfort. The buttons pull the sweater together and give it a very pretty, finished look. Thanks for sharing with us Nancy!

Carol Higgins knit these beautiful socks out of yarn that Christiane brought back from Switzerland that she gifted to her. These socks look like a Monet painting in person.

Crochet Shawl & End of the World Farm
Bonnie, one of our many talented crocheters here at the shop has been busy crocheting shawls for her daughters upcoming wedding. This beautiful shawl was made for the Maid of Honor. Modeling this beauty is Sylvia. Sylvia has been visiting Christiane from Switzerland for the past couple of weeks with her family. It has been a pleasure meeting Sylvia. Classic Elite Silky Alpaca Lace was used for this project.
We have some wonderful new yarn from End of the World Farm. This is Tencel which is great for socks, scarves and shawls. We will be having an upcoming class for a small shawl in the near future. We met Ed and Katie at The New Hampshire Sheep and Wool Festival in the spring. Ed came by the shop yesterday and delivered this fantastic array of colors for our creative projects.
Sandee also picked out this roving from EOW farm to spin up on her Kromski Traveling Wheel.

Pretty Socks & A Potholder
Barb W knit these beautiful socks out of Cascade Heritage.
Barb also knit this pair of pretty socks. These were knit out of Mountain Colors.
Joanne crocheted this potholder out of cotton. Fantase Naturale is a perfect yarn for this project. We have a variety of colors to choose from. Joanne is going to crochet these up for holiday gifts and give them along with a loaf of bread or a mix of cookies.

Seedstitch T...
Sheila S. knit this pretty Seedstitch T Sweater out of cotton. The rolltop neck and generous drape is beautiful and will accommodate all body types. We have this in the shop if you'd like to have an in person view of it. It's pretty enough to wear for a special occassion but, practical enough for everyday. You might want to make one in several colors for your summer wardrobe.
We have had this book in stock for awhile now. Last winter Sandee ordered this for Linda W. and she has yet to make any of the creatures in it. However...a customer was in last night buying more yarn for the many vegetables she knits up out of all sorts of yarns for her little friends. She has knit up some of the Amigurumi creatures...and she promised to bring them by so we could get a photo of them. Toys are a such a fun and creative project to knit or crochet with all sorts of odd bits of yarns. They are also a way that one can buy perhaps a more luxurious yarn that only requires a skein or two. If you have toys you've knit or crocheted and would like to share with us we'd love to photograph them and show them off for everyone to enjoy!
Okay so this is crazy! Knitty had this pattern for a wig on it. I know none of you would wear such a thing out in public but, you have to admit...knitters and crocheters are a creative lot!
"Reminiscent of that time, this "housewife" wig is a result of my experimentation with the tuck stitch mixed with a little bit of my sense of humor." So says Astor Tsang. I'm putting this photo up in honor Sandee's new found passion for riding her fancy new bike. Who votes that she makes one of these and wears it riding around the Lebanon Green one day this summer?!

Yarn Bombing...
As if you didn't already have enough to knit on your plate. It's the beginning of summer and perhaps you are looking for new ideas to inspire your knitting. A big project might feel like too much right now in this heat. Maybe you're tired of knitting the same type of project and need something to inspire you. Well, here's a cool site called The Knitted Lanscape to give you some ideas! If your garden is flagging...there is nothing like a new single skein of yarn to inspire you to knit up something to tuck inside your garden beds.
This style of knitting is inspired by something called Yarn Bombing. Yarn bombing is something that folks do to improve the landscape or to create a surpise for others to enjoy. Alot of this type of activity takes place in urban settings. Knitters and crocheters eveywhere create pieces big and small to entice us to look at the lanscape and art with a fresh eye. You never know where you might spot one of these creations.

A day at the shop...
A bouquet graces our table from the local farm stand in Chaplin. Stop by Bedlam Road for a $4 bunch of lovely garden flowers. The farm stand sells things all season long. Linda loves their garlic pesto!
So, in between customers Sandee is out on her brandy new bike! A bunch of us have tried this great new bike out and of course we all want one. It is mighty comfortable. Check out Scott's Cyclery if you're looking for a new or custom bike.
Kathy is showing off this Clapotis shawl knit by Barb W. The big story is that Barb took 2 skeins plus a little extra yarn...and Sandee can't remember starting a third ball, she claims that she only used two skeins! Well, Sandee did use all that yarn...and Barb did eventually convince her of the fact. Don't worry, if she's helping you figure out a project...your project will be calculated correctly! Barb used Rustic Tweed...2 skeins PLUS a little.

Bonnie brought Zoe by for a shop visit....so cute!
